My experience with the PVY A20 after several weeks I have now been riding the PVY A20 for several weeks, and overall I am very satisfied with it. It is a solid, well-built bike, it looks great, and you can immediately feel that there is a lot of power behind it. I never have the feeling that I am riding something unstable or cheaply built. I mainly use it for lots of short trips. Compared with my previous electric scooter, the difference in battery life is fantastic. I used to have to charge my scooter regularly, whereas with the PVY A20 I currently only need to charge it about once a week. For me, that is a major advantage. The saddle is also comfortable. I have already done quite a few rides and have not experienced any saddle pain so far. The only thing I would personally change is the height adjustment. Even though the bike is already quite high, I would have liked to be able to raise the saddle just a little further. The lighting is very good. You are clearly visible to other road users, and the front headlight provides plenty of light for riding in the dark. The bike also handles poor roads, cobblestones and unpaved roads very well. It feels solid and stable, and I have had no problems riding over rough surfaces. The motor has plenty of power, and you can definitely feel it. In my opinion, this bike is much closer to an electric scooter in terms of riding experience than to a traditional bicycle. The pedalling is there, of course, but with the amount of motor assistance you get, you are not exactly struggling to move the bike yourself. The lower assistance levels, such as 1, 2 and 3, feel a little pointless to me because at certain speeds you simply cannot pedal fast enough to keep up comfortably. There are also a few things about the European version that I am not completely happy with. The throttle does not work on my bike at all, and I am still not sure whether this is a fault with my particular bike or an actual restriction of the European version. The walk-assist also does not work through the throttle. Instead, it has to be activated using the buttons on the handlebar. The problem is that the buttons are positioned very close to the horn, so when you are trying to operate the walk-assist, it is very easy to accidentally press the horn. This has happened to me several times while riding. I think the controls could definitely have been positioned better. The delivery was unfortunately not very smooth. I ended up waiting around two weeks to receive the bike. From what I understand, this was not really PVY's fault, but more an issue with the supplier or delivery company they had chosen. Fortunately, everything was eventually sorted out. The customer support is another area that could be improved. The support through the website is not always easy to reach, and quite often there does not seem to be anyone available. You do receive replies, but sometimes they are not as detailed or helpful as I would expect. On the other hand, I have to give PVY credit for the way they deal with problems. They seem very willing to find a solution and are quite generous when something goes wrong. For example, they may offer a free accessory, such as a bag, or a discount voucher as compensation. So while the communication and availability of the support could definitely be better, I do appreciate their willingness to make things right when there is a problem. Another point I would mention is the brakes. The bike has quite a lot of power and can build up speed quickly, so personally I think the brakes could be a little stronger. Over the coming weeks, I am going to test the bike more extensively on hills and mountain roads. That will be a good opportunity to see what the motor and battery are really capable of. Overall conclusion So far, I am very happy with the PVY A20. It is a solid, powerful and comfortable bike that handles rough roads well and has excellent battery life for the way I use it. There are definitely some things that could be improved, particularly the throttle on the European version, the positioning of the controls around the horn, the customer support and the braking power. However, despite these points, I would definitely buy the PVY A20 again and I would recommend it to others. One thing is worth mentioning: in terms of riding experience, this feels much more like an electric scooter with pedals than a traditional bicycle. The pedalling is there, but with the power of the motor, you are mainly using the pedals as part of the riding experience rather than because you actually need them to move the bike. For me, that is exactly what makes this bike so enjoyable to ride.
